Bowlin’ for Colons

Lace up the rental shoes, grab a ball, and hit the lanes to strike back against cancer. Join us at the 9th annual Bowling for Colons event to benefit research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

The event takes place Sunday, March 7, 2010, at four Madison area bowling centers.

Joining Us at the Lanes

All participants must call (608) 263-0160 before February 26 to reserve their lane. DO NOT call any of the participating bowling centers.

Registration fee is $30 for adults and $15 for children (14 and under). Bowlers are also encouraged to raise additional pledges (flat donations) to benefit colon cancer research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center. To raise funds, simply download the official entry form or consider using the UW Carbone Cancer Center's personal fundraising tool. The personal fundraising tool allows anyone to raise money online for the Cancer Center. Users create a personalized donation page, decide on his or her own fundraising goal, and set out to meet that goal by reaching out to friends and family. A bowling-pin-shaped thermometer allows users to follow along and track the fundraiser's progress.

Participants may use pledge money to pay their registration fee. This is not a pledge-per-pin event.

Unable to join us in Madison but want to support Bowlin' for Colons? Consider starting your own fundraising campaign or making an online contribution to the UW Carbone Cancer Center. It's easy, and your efforts will go to support the same great cause.

Prizes for Pledges

Participants in Bowlin' for Colons can receive prizes for raising the most money—the top fundraiser for adults will receive $150, and the top fundraisers for children (14 and under) will receive a portable DVD player (first prize) or a digital camera (second prize).

We will award one overall prize to the adult and child who raise the most money (combining all four bowling centers). Grand Prize winners will be notified following the event.

Additionally, prize tickets will be issued at bowling registration. You will have the opportunity to win several gift certificates. Tickets will be issued based on the TOTAL AMOUNT of money that accompanies each registration form the day of the event. Download the official form for more information.
